ivycare
was founded on an unwavering belief that each person deserves to live
a happy, healthy and fulfilling life, journeying into his or her "golden
years" with dignity and joy.Margaret H. Kim, the founder
of ivycare has served the community for over 15 years in developing and
leading enriching recreational and creative arts programs. She witnessed the
life giving force creativity plays in peoples' lives and has committed her
time and efforts to bring new and fresh avenues of creative
enrichment. The vision and mission of ivycare is to strengthen the physical,
emotional, spiritual and social well-being of each individual with whom
we work with.
Along
with consulting, developing and leading programs, ivycare has assisted in creating
a dementia unit in a long term care facility, as well as, direct activity programming
at a hospice care center. Our experience also includes working with physically
and emotionally challenged populations. Our staff are
trained and have extensive experience in, but not limited to, gerontology, therapeutic
recreation, dementia, palliative care, staff development, dance, music, visual
arts, singing, acting, drama, creative writing and languages, film and directing,
psychology and communications, body dynamics, tai chi, qigong, and world arts
and cultures.
